    Carb Sync w/4 into 1

I want to sync the carbs on my 81 1100E. My service manual states that the 2 middle carbs should be 1/2 ball lower than the outer carbs. I have heard that this was due to the equalization/cross over tubes on the original exhaust. I have a vance and hines 4 into 1. Does this mean that I should sync the carbs all the same. :?

    Don't know

I don't know the answer to that question but I'm willing to bet that if you balance the balls in exactly the same position, your bike will run great. I think it would have to be more 'out of kilter' than that in order to possibly notice the difference. (That's only my guess based on my own bike's performance.):?
