    79 suzuki gs750 clutch switch

hey fellas.....how do i bypass the nutral safety switch if i dont have a headlight bucket to remove.the thing is that i have all the wires cut for the gear indication lights right by the starter.how do i bypass the switch so my motor will run.if i bypass the starter silonoid,my motor runs good till i take the starter wire off of 12 volts.ive tried to hold the clutch in and start but that doesnt make any difference.i didnt know if the cut wires had anything to do with it.so please can someone let me know if im way off base or what.i know the blue wire is a ground and the others arnt.how can i bypass this switch?thanks alot,mike..[-o<

Sometimes the switch in the lever can get messed up or will oxidize. try cleaning that. You just have to connect the 2 yellow with green stripe wires together to bypass it.

Kinda sounds like you took the neutral line out of commision when you clipped all the gear indicator wires. That would only affect use of the starter motor, and should not affect the ignition circuit.

But, if you are still using the original harness, there were two wires that came to the headlight bucket that had bullet connectors. They mated with similar wires that came from the clutch switch. To bypass the clutch switch, merely unplug the two wires, then connect the two that are part of the main harness. Think of it this way...number the four connctors 1, 2, 3, 4. #1 is part of the main harness and is connected to #2 which goes to the clutch switch. #3 is the return wire from the clutch switch and is connected to #4, which is part of the main harness. Take them all apart and connect #1 to #4.

If you were just a little closer, I would be willing to come over and help

the only wires i have are comming out of the front sprocket area.there is only one wire that is gree n and yellow.you say to connect these wires but theres only one.what do i do now?i can get my motor to run but i have to have the starter cable touching battery +.once i let it off 12v the motor dies..if i quickly touch the battery again, the motor livns back up.out of curiosity, would the starter motor be shuting my bike down?you know, like when i start the motor and let off cause its running.when i let the 12v source go from the starter, would the starter bog my motor till it stops.kind of silly ?,huh?thanks again fellas,ladies.......mike..
