    Tach Problems..

Hello, I noticed that when you are driving my bike sometimes the tach does not respond correctly. This seems to be happening at ~6000 rpm to ~7000 rpm. if I accelerate the speedometer keeps increasing while the tach stays the same or wobbles back and fourth, then it seems to correct itself and works fine up to redline (10k). I have a 1985 gs 700E with an electronicly driven tach, and was wondering if there is anything I can do to fix this problem?
I guess it is not the end of the world, as you don't really need your tach until you get to redline, but I would like to fix this problem
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks,
    Nick

Mine does the same thing even with a new cable and chain wax. I'm just gonna change it out with my spare someday.

I would figure if I had a tach that operated with a cable I would get some of that, although there is no cable, it is given a electronic reading off the crankshaft... at least i'm 98% sure...

I haven't done it personally. There are two capacitors on the speedo circuit board I would assume tach is similar
