1983 GS550L... Is this the air screw?

So a few pictures that I'd like some input on if you guys wouldn't mind.

Is this the air screw? And idea how many turns back it should be?

      Hey,

I'm also wondering if anyone knows how far the floats should drop when the carbs are upright?

Yes. Start with 2, then fine-tune, using hightest RPM method

Yes. It comes out the bottom.

Not sure how far they should drop, but should definitely drop enough to let fuel in the valve. 10mm or so?
