Go to the GSR home page and review the carb rebuild series. In most cases a good cleaning and replacement of the O-rings are all that is needed. In all but extreem cases you don't have to change any jetting for a stock bike. Please do a search on this subject since there is TONS of information on cleaning the carbs.
BTW, I'm just up the street from you in Torrance. If you get stuck or need help just let me know.Ed

That link is only for ONE kit, you need 4. But you probably don't even need them at all. MOST of the time a good cleaning, new O rings, & maybe float bowl gaskets is all you need

Hey Nessism, Torrance is real close! Are you fairly experienced with bikes? I am most certainly not. I'm trying to identify what aspects of my bike are problems and what is just normal, so if you've got a chance and wouldn't mind cruising out to let me know what the bike needs, it'd be very much appreciated!
I'm afraid to dig into the carbs, just yet, as I couldn't synch them back up. I've only messed with a pair of GS500 two-jet carbs, and they weren't entirely easy for me. This time around, I'll buy the whole gasket set before I go digging in there and just replace everything.
