Remote starter plate - what is it?

What is a remote starter plate, and what does it do? I need a new sprocket cover for my GS1000 as the 5/8" offset front sprocket causes the chain and front sprocket to hit the stock sprocket cover. Can I bolt on a remote starter plate instead of the stock sprocket cover so there's clearance for the sprocket and the chain? Otherwise some of the inside of the stock sprocket cover will need to be cut away.

    Thanks!

Remote starter plate - Replaces the stator assembly to use an external starter for racing only, total loss electrical system. Take your dremel to the inside of the cover
