        On the front of the GS frame there are two bolt hole's which on later bikes the horns are attached.

        A bracket could be made to support the oil cooler and utilise these bolt holes.

        I think on the Katans's Suzuki did exactly that.

        As for cover debate/knicker in a twist/heated tempers/ every body has personal experience and opinion. PLEASE respect others as it's too easy to loose knowledge and good will.

          Looking at the bike, the horn mounts seem to be the logical choice. I guess that brackets could be fabricated to suit.
          I guess my major concern is the rubber cushioning. Suzi thought it important enough to spend money on it, so I think I should also.

            The bracket came with the Derale oil cooler. I have some extra taps if anyone needs them.
            1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
            1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.
