I took the cams out,the tensioner off.The motor still was very hard to turn over.So i took the head off and the front cam chain guide out.Now the motor turns over like a sewing machine!!! Whoopee!!! Only now what??? If I put the head on and reassemble what i just took off what did i accomplish? I wonder if the front cam chain guide somehow even though it seated down in ist slot like it seemed it was supposed to, maybe somehow at the bottom it is getting tangled in the chain somehow. Someone please help!!!

It is possible to install the front cam chain guide misaligned enough to wedge/bind the cam chain. (ask me how I know)

I knew you find it, Go back doing one thing at a time, then turn crank, one more thing & turn again, one thing at a time, till eng tightens up, re-do, till it doesn't tighten up. Aggrivating wasn't it, but don't it feel good now???1983 GS1100E, 1983 CB1100F, 1991 GSX1100G, 1996 Kaw. ZL600 Eliminator, 1999 Bandit 1200S, 2005 Bandit 1200S, 2000 Kaw. ZRX 1100

If you still need to get oil in the bores you could squirt it in through the plug holes. I presume you've sorted that bit now when you pulled the head.
Good luck!!

Glad to see that things are moving along and your efforts are reaping rewards. Remember, in most races the difference between winning and not finishing is just pushing through the final leg. Keep up the good work!
