Minneapolis Shop or Price to Change Tires?

Hey everyone, any clue where in the south Minneapolis suburbs to take my bike in to have the tires changed? I bought new tires and tubes to do it myself, and NOT! It looks like the exhaust has to be dropped on my GS 450E to get the axle pin out, and that's just the start or a ball buster job for me with limited bike mechanics and tools.

I would prefer to drive it in.....Any help on the price at least?

    TY!!!

Im looking out my front window at three choices for ya. Leos, Moto Primo, & HD. None are cheep. In lakeville you can try Jerrys Yamaha and Farmington has a MC service too (try the yellow pages). Over in Savage is Cities Edge Cycles.

Yepper....I need a manual.....!! What a NooB , I just took off the rear shocks, lifted up the suspension, and the rear tire is almost off! You folks can just mark me up at a dork with a new/old bike! I've been working on cars too long! I'm in Shakopee, but Cities Edge seems to always yank my chain (probably cause' they see me coming). I'll take my wheels & stuff over to Leo's tomorrow......

I know this is on the north side but C&M cycle in Fridley (near northtown) is a great place to go. They specialize in UJM's and are reasonable and fast. BTW, you shouldn't have to pull an exhaust to get a axle bolt out. I thought this on one of my bikes, but if you take off the shocks, the swingarm should pivot enough to get it out.

When you put things back together, don't forget to use anti seize...it just makes things sooooooooo much easier when doing it again! :-D

There gonna jerk your chain too. When your coming through savage on hwy13, go behind the VFW right off 13. There was a shop there last year but I dont know if there still there. It was next to a wholesale window store. And theres always Sport Wheels in Jordon...

To take off the wheel off you pull the shocks loose from the mounting stud which will allow you to move the swingarm clear of the mufflers to take the axle out. It helps to have an assistant but I managed by myself.

Cool, I have the wheels off and ready to rock.....I'll look for that shop behind the VFW sometime Dave. Sport Wheels is closer though, do they do work out there? For some reason I thought they were just used parts, that would be handy. Thanks for all the help everyone!\\/

                  Time to buy a Clymer!

You could try Midwest Cycle too. I think they change tires.
