If you would have sold it and someone posted here how it was fixed you would have cried. I felt like parting mine out one time because of a silly problem but two days later I just went about fixing it and overall it was not bad. These are tough bikes and there are good reasons why so many are still around and looking good. I don't see that many old hondas or kawasakis that are as durable as the venerable GS

you said a mouthful there.I agree with you 100%.My brother inlaw who fancies himself as a mechanical whiz said 'it was just a head gasket' grrrrrrr.

How is your rebuild going?

Slow, but good. New rubber pieces for the cam idler have taken a while to get here. Then I got sidetracked prepping the head and block for new paint. I just can't leave well enough alone. LMAO.
