Cheng Shin tires for '81 GS750EX? Radials or no?

Well, it's still a ways off, but thought I'd ask anyway.....was looking at some Cheng Shin tires today, always had good luck with them before, and I was wondering which ones to get for my '81 GS750EX. Apparently I can't run radials? Is this because of the "porosity" of the rims? Does the '81 use tubes?

Also, what is the widest tire I can fit on the stock rear rim? Not looking to stuff a 300 under there, but I think the PO put a narrower than stock tire and it just doesn't look right.

Stock was a 4.00x18, which is now 110/90 in the metric sizes.
You can't use radials. Go with bias. I am sure someone here knows why, but I am certain that you cannot do this.

The bike was not designed for radials, usually the rims are not wide enough. 120/90/18 should fit
