    83 GS 750 E rear wheel spacer

I am in the process of swapping my rear wheel, and it looks like some parts are missing. There is supposed to be a spacer between the caliper mount and the chain tension adjuster on the disc side of the rear axle bolt (according to my factory shop manual), but mine is missing, and the local dealer says the part is discontinued. Just wondering if anyone either has a spare, or would know what the dimensions are so I can get one made. Thanks for any help...

I have a 750L, I could pull the spacer on that one if it will do you. PM me and I will get back to you early next week.

Yesterday I pulled off the back wheel to clean the swing arm and replace the chain on my 83 750 E. There were only two spacers that came off. One on the sprocket side about 1" thick and one top hat about 1 1`/4" on the brake disk side between the bearing and the caliper mount. There are no others on my bike.

I can't measure them for you just yet as my bike is in the shop for certification. I'm hoping to have it back later today.

        Hope this helps.

        Cheers,
        Spyug.

Thanks for the help, and good luck with the cert! Nice to know there is another one of these on the road in the neighbourhood...

When I changed to an 82 1100E rear rim I needed a spacer so I bought some washers and it worked out fine.
