    Choke cable

When mucking around with my handlebars, I somehow jammed the choke cable on my '80 GS1100E. I ordered an OEM replacement and attempted to put it on yesterday.

    Two issues:

    (1) Instead of a little circular knob on the carb end, it has a little cylinder (about 1/4 the size of the original "knob"). I'm not talking about the handle that says "choke", I'm talking about the part that connects to the lever on the carb.
    (2) When I do get it installed, the cable appears to be about 1" too long. The handle sits up about 1" when the choke is off and the lever practically comes out of the body when I put the choke full on (full up).

    Am I doing something wrong?

I can post pics if it will help explain what I am talking about.

    Thanks,
    - Tony

Now I feel like a schmuck. Why can't all my problems be this easy?

I ordered (according to my email invoice):

        58400-45110

        but received

        58400-45100

I just sent a note off to JT Motorsports to see how to get this resolved.
