    Tube from gas gauge...

    Hey Folks..

I included this question in a previous post of mine but didn't receive any thoughts on it... so thought it may have been over looked.

The "vent" tube off the gas gauge... does that go anywhere in particular? (82 GS650E)

    Thanks!

    ~ Russ

PS- Hoping to have her running this week… maybe even tomorrow.

don't know the exact routing, but its gotta clear anything hot and get any leakage of gas to the ground.

I just answered that in your other post, but here it is again.

That is a safety drain in case the gasket for the fuel level float ever leaks. It gets routed behind the engine and lower than the exhaust. IF it ever has anything in it, you don't want it dripping on a hot engine or the exhaust.

If it's long enough run it down between the transmission and swingarm.

          Thanks guys! :-D

I have to pick up a new hose today anyhow... so I will make sure I have plenty to run away and down from heat sources!
