JB Weld + Jb Weld + oil??? Cyl Head 550

    That's my old Ohio salted road bondo method.
    1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
    1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

I think if I'm quick and thorough, the band aid method will hold up for... long enough anyway 8-[

        jb weld makes a cleaner and prep. use it and you will be ok.

        check around you may find a local welder that can weld al. if he is any good he should beable to fix it.

            JB Weld

            Miss Fabulous JB weld will do the job clean the area inside an out the best you can. Put so muffler tape over the hole on the outside fill the hole from inside. The reason for the tape is JB takes along time to setup and will sag so you have to make a little from to hold it in place. This if it can by done from inside, if not from the outside put something on the inside so all the JB doesn't sag in then put the tape over the patch. After it has cure overnight it can be file and sanded smooth. It is very easy to sand. I fix a hole in a car transmisson with in and had great results.

              She'd have to send the head, not the cover. The hole is in the non-pressurized part of the head. Welding would be the best repair, but that's some expensive shipping.....

                I fixed my stator cover with masking tape and Jb Weld. Worked like a charm and beat the hell out of waiting for parts.... Now that I'm jetted and running Its NOT leaking.
