Need some info. on engine gaskets.

I have a 1980 1100E with 56,000 miles and it runs like a champ. I got it for free from a friend that told me it had been sitting for 4 years or more before I got it. I now seam to be getting small leak in verious areas. (Head, oil pan, ect.) I am sure that with that lenght of time sitting the gaskets should be replaced. Can anyone let me know where I can find a gasket kit.

http://www.denniskirk.com has them as a kit, I'm not sure if they have a kit for your bike or not, but it's worth checking.

Do you know what you are in for. Perhaps re torquing first might help

Retorquing? I never thought of that. You don't thing that since the bike sat for so long the gaskets may have dried out and when I ran it hard last summer it caused a leak? I would rather retorque than replace. Even though I will more than likely buy the gasket kit anyway because while working on the engine last year some of the simply gaskets were
damaged such as the oil pan.
