    '83 GS1100GL...Will later carbs work?

So, I have an '83 GS1100GL that has given me no end of carburetion issues, mostly due to failure of o-rings, gaskets, etc. A friend has a set of 36mm carbs off a GS1150...Will those work on my 1100? I know I'd have to switch to pod-style filters, which isn't a big concern.

Does anyone know the size of the o-ring that goes between the fuel lines between the carbs and the carbs?

    Actually, they're off a GSXR1100...Apparently they'll work.

Have your current carbs rebuilt PROPERLY and your carb problems will stop. They are very simple devices and perform very reliably if properly cared for.

Going a different set, particularly with pods, will only add to your carb headache.

The GSXR carbs will work and add almost instant throttle performance. You will have to jet them and by the time you're done if you get done you will be a pro.
