    Louie Again !!

    Louie here,

1979 Suzuki GS750 LN doing carb FLOAT ADJUSTMENT. Clymer manual says to measure float level between float chamber surface and top of float.

PLEASE Define float chamber surface as either A or B.

A = The small raised ridge around where bowl cover sets inlaid.

B = Where the bottom of bowl cover comes in contact with carb chamber.

There is .160 difference between the two.[/b]

B, and you actually measure to the bottom of the float with the carb inverted and just resting on the float needle, not pushed down.

Measure from the gasket surface with the gasket removed. Or measure from the gasket and subtrack 1mm from the float setting

On my 79 750E, 24mm seems to be about perfect. :-)

          Louie,

If you still need the stackup for your wheels, I have a scanner now so I can e-mail the pictures for you.
