    carb trouble

i have just bought some slide carbs for my gs1000 off ebay, when i was stripping it down to clean it i also took the pilot air screws out to check, but found that 2 of them were stuck and would not come out at all, could anyone advise me what to do next please.

I had two stick on me once
I used a suitable drill to slightly increase the diameter of the jet so I caould gently tap the square end of a chain saw file into the hole.

Used vise grips to hold the file shaft and gave it a quick snap and they both came out without incident.

    Be exceedingly careful

        my god Liverpool!

do they have chain saw files in UK?

I used the file out of necessity the thing has a tapered squared off tip and is very hard steel.

it's sharp corners drive into the soft brass of the jet making for a great back woods fix

someone may have a nicer more socially acceptable method though
