    clymer , haynes or others

    i was wondering what the best type of manual everyone out there gets. i have a 1994 gs500e, and was just wondering which manual would be good. clymer, haynes, or others . thanks for the help

    Get either a Clymer or Haynes and get a factory manual also. The aftermarket manuals have a lot of good info that the factory manual is missing. The factory manual has some obscure stuff that can't be found elsewhere and will be specific to your bike. I prefer the factory manuals.

      Yes, having the Haynes or Clymer to compliment the factory manual is nice. A lot more text to help with explanations and they will give you alternative ways to do things without the use of the speciality tools.

        Another manual I have come across is Cycleserv Publications from Australia I have one for GS1000 all in B&W but has a lot of good info

          I have a clymer for my 1980 1100E and I swear by it. I have not seen the haynes but would like to.
