Gs850 motor
I have a 1980 gs850g which I am looking for a spare motor for it. Wouild a 83 850 motor fit in my bike? Thanks TedTags: None

You'll need the '83 driveshaft -- the flanges where the driveshaft bolts onto the engine are verrrrrrry slightly different.
Guess how I know this. Go on -- guess.
Let me know if you need an '83 driveshaft -- I didn't actually throw it through the wall, but I wanted to.
The ignition will be different, but it's as simple as unbolting the stuff under the early model's ignition cover and bolting it onto the '83 engine.
