turn signal control box

Can anyone help me with a problem, the control box cost $300 new. Is there a way to bypass the box and the signals still work. I remember someone on here had said they had done it but i can't find the listing. I have a 78' 1000e. thanks for any assistance.

Not sure what you mean by a control box, but all you should need is the switch to operate the signals and a flasher unit. When my flasher went out I just replaced it with one of the little round metal ones used in cars and it works fine.

I perused your article and thought you had one heck of a good idea. I would be bold enough to suggest that you put together a wiring diagram and post it (and instructions) to the tips and tricks section.
