    750-1000 exhaust same?

    Anyone know for sure if a v&h exhaust for a 750 would fit a 1000?(1980 model year)

    Depends if it's a shaft drive or not.
    1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
    1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

      The stock 750 exhaust TPO gave me was different from the stock 1000 I had on the bike. Pipe diameters.

        The spacing of the header pipes, as well as the placement of the mounting tab on the can are different between the 750 and 1000.

          Thanks for the input. If anyones interested theres a good looking v&h black 4-1 on ebay for a 750 low price, ends soon!
