As ive never timed up a bike engine before i had to resort to the haynes manual for doing my gs550 motor

Better to find out now. If you left it that way and tried to start it you would have lots of problems then.

Those tools arent right at all! The shorter ones should be on the left with larger ones going to the right!!! LOL! Looks great buddy.If you can find your tools quickly you will cut your wrenching time in half!!!

First of all you need #1 cylinder at TDC (T mark aligned). Next, the #1 hash mark on the exhaust cam should be parallel to the gasket surface. Then count 20 pins between the "2" and "3" marks.Ed
