    Fork Pin?

    Hey,

I was checking the air pressure on my front wheel today and noticed that on the front fork there appears to be a hole that maybe some sort of pin is supposed to go in.

Does anyone know for sure if anything is supposed to be in this hole?

    Thanks,

    Jake

    ROFLAO!
SORRY that is the hole you stick a / the phillips screw driver in to hold axle while removing the nut from the front axle, it keeps the axle from spinning when taking front wheel off.

That hole is there for your convenience when you pull the axle.
Insert a Phillips screwdriver, and you can twist and pull to get the axle out easier. \\/
Of course, that is after you loosen the nut on the other end and remove the caliper(s) to allow the wheel to fit through.

I have also seen racing bikes put a 'safety wire' through that hole just in case.

Some race clubs insist that every nut, bolt etc is 'safety wired' into place.
