    Cleaning connections

The connections are bad. We all know this. I get resistance into my ignition switch too.

So how does one clean the connections, particularly those in the small patcons under the fork, and in the ignition switch, which is sealed?

    help!

Boats also have this problem. Disconnect the battery and rapidly twist the switch in both directions thru all the positions many times. If the corrosion isn't too thick that will remove the crud and make a clean contact.

At most auto parts stores you can buy electrical parts cleaner. It works pretty good. I haven't sprayed it into an ignition switch, but for small connectors and the like it works.

I've used good old WD-40 on ignitions of all types and it has cured the problem...just another thought. :?
