    Machining before parting out?

I'm about to start parting out my '82 GK. I have the head & cylinder block at a shop for machine work. I found an '81 GS1000G I am replacing it with. Question is, should I get the rework done on the head etc before I sell them or just let them go as is? The other question is, how far down should I disassemble the engine for best sale appeal? I'll be offering everything to GST members first.

poor unloved GK, may it rest in pieces.

I don't know who the GST people are, I would have thought you would have gave the GSR folks first dibs.

Thats what I was thinking too since the idea is to recoup what I can to offset buying the "new" bike. Thats why we have this web site right?

            Thanks, Steve
