    Honda RR

I'm a cheapskate looking to adapt a used RR from a Honda? or other bike? What models work best and are easiest to adapt? I don't care about connectors I will solder everything. Ive got an 82 gs650 beggin for a charge - thanks

I bought one from a 2004 CBR600 off ebay for $28 shipped. It's HUGE compared to the stocker. Three yellow wires plus two reds/blacks. Pretty easy to wire (although I haven't decided yet if I'm going to hook one of the red/black combos up toward the headlamp). I figured buying a newer unit is a safer bet than something 25 years old.

    Hope this helps.

            Wiat a second - I'm running a 'Zook R/R on my Honda!

I've got a GSXR1K rectifier on my VFR - significant improvement, but I used Twist-Loc connectors instead of soldering.

The one I have on my '78 GS750 is from a Honda CM/CB 400 twin. It bolted up beautifully underneath the battery box that even has threaded holes in the right places! I have the same one my project '83 GS1100ED, but I think I might have had to drill a hole or something. Don't remember, it was quite some time ago I installed it.
