Here's an update...haven't changed the oil yet...tried to put the bike into 3rd or 4th gear on the center stand to rotate the back tire...she doesn't want to go into 3rd or 4th gear. I'm gonna guess that's a bad sign...any thoughts????

you are turning the rear wheel as you lift on the shift lever?

x2 A lot of times you have to "rock" the drivetrain by moving the wheel a bit to get it to shift when not running.

          Update #2

Took care of the shifting issue by rocking the rear wheel and changed the oil and filter.

          So here's a recap...

Ran the bike for about 10 miles or so with the red oil light on. No goofy sounds or anything, just needed to get it home. Now the red light is on when I try to start her up and there is nothing happening. Also tried a push start since I've been having some issued with my clutch safety and again, nothing. I don't even here the starter trying to fire. Although I didn't change the plugs, should I look at doing that?

These bikes don't have an oil pressure safety switch, do they?

If the engine is not turning over at all the problem is in the starter motor circuit. Could be as simple as the clutch switch or starter button on the handlebar switch.

The red light will come on with the ignition key is turned on since it's reading low pressure (engine is off). Light should go off after starting the engine though.

Where the heck are you located???
Sounds like several small issues going on here, if you got together with someone from this board who knows a bit about these bikes, you could probably have a nice motorcycle running more or less correctly in no time.
