    Air box boots

I'm working on putting my air box back on and have a question. I know there's a left and right boot, but is there a correct rotation? Does the the L or R go to the top or bottom for example. Or does it even make a difference?

    Thanks,

The L or the R goes up.

mortation, these are the air box to carb boots. On the L there is no right or left. For some reason there is for the G.

        arveejay, thanks for the info.

In general, markings or arrows on parts always go on top or facing forward or up. If there are arrows on two mating parts, the arrows must point at each other.

Those are a couple of basic laws of mechanical orientation. You'll find the same types of markings on all kinds of machinery.

I was little frustrated when I started this thread. Had been trying to get my air box back on with no real luck. Already had the L/R on top, guess I was just hoping someone would tell me different and then everything would work LOL. Ordered new boots last night, should have them in couple of days.

                Thanks,

Trying to put a round peg in a square hole, huh. It'll seem like a breeze with new ones.:-D
