    I wish my 400 had enough vacuum to suck the fumes out of my bikes top end. I have to blow water and slime out of the vent and square box on my valve cover regularly.

      Also remember in 1983 there are 2 mesh steel pads that are mounted in the valve cover (breather area) . The manual said that they were placed there to seperate oil and air and have the pads collect and return the oil to the motor. This maybe why some get oil dripping and some don't.

        I put a K&N breather filter on the breather hose and bolted it to one of the tabs for the airbox. Hasn't made any mess to speak of. 8)
