Bad vibes after head gasket replacement

    This may be a longshot, but you may want to recheck the cam chain tensioner. Make sure the plunger is not sticking on the set screw. Remember that set screw is only for disassembly/reassembly and should be locked clear of the plunger after assembly.

      Its sounds like a carb out to me.

      Had to have the exhaust repaired on my GSF1200 Bandit. On the way home got bad vibes at 4-4,750 rev's.

      Turned out to be......................carbs out!

      Just needed a carb sync.

        You had to pull the carbs off, to replace the head gasket. You didn't mess with the carbs, while they were off did you.
