1100L Fuel Capacity
I am considering the purchase of an 1100L (1982) and know it holds less fuel than a G model. Does anybody know the tank capacity? Thanks... New here, currently have 2 850G's and a 425ETags: None

I don't know about the 1100, but the 1000G model appears to hold 5.0 gallons and the 1000L holds 4.0.
Just for comparison, my '82 650L holds 3.4 and my '82 850L holds 4.3.

Hey howdy hey!
Mr. gandyfire,
Let it be known that on this day you are hereby cordially and formally welcomed to the GSR Forums as a Junior Member in good standing with all the rights and privileges thereof. Note that "good standing" implies pictures! :-D
My Clymer book says the 1000L holds 5.8 gallons and the 1100GL holds 4.5 gallons. Take it from Mr. twr1776 (who owns one) and go with 4.5 for the 1100L.
So, this post was totally worthless other than giving me an excuse to look up something that wasn't in my manual anyway. 8-[ Oh, and to say, "Thanks for joining us!"
I'll give myself a BSOD now.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff

Thanks for the welcome and all the quick responses. I will have to take some pictures of the 850g's and the 425 and post them. I figure with 4.5 gallons that about one gallon would be reserve giving the 1100gl about 120 miles:? before hitting reserve at an estimated 35 mpg.
