    Different gear, GS1150

Does anyone know where a person might buy a 16 tooth front sprocket?
Does anyone know where a person could buy a 41 or 40 tooth rear sprocket?
The sprockets would need to fit an 84-86 GS 1150.

    Thanks,
    Fastrip

Stock for an 1150 is 15/42. Changing to 16/40 is going to cause it to accelerate like an 8 valve 750.

              Wow, thanks again to everybody.

I have a 16 tooth front on the way.I will see what it feels like and adjust from there. It's just the easiest to change (and the cheapest for now).
I have GSX-R wheels, so I will probably an need offset front sprocket once they come into play.

I never really intended on running a 16/40. I made up a chart of 14,15,16 tooth fronts and 40,41,42 tooth rears. Back from 16/42 would be a 15/40 or a 15/41.

The bike is a 1230. I am constantly going to pull another gear. Besides it just doesn't need to spin as much as it does to satisfy my needs. A few less cycles per minute and it just might last the rest of my natural riding career (15-20 years). What do you think?

Hows that gearing going? Wots it like taking off, 2 up & overtaking on the highway?
