    cam chain tensioner ?

    looking for a manual cam chain tensioner does the GS1100E model fit the GS1000E ?
    Ape does not know.

    Same gasket so the bolt pattern will be the same so yes it will.:-D
    1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
    1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.

      Okay do the carbs have to come off in order to remove and replace tensioner ?

        I was able to service the tensioner on my GS450 without removing the carbs. It was a tight squeeze getting my hands in there, but there was room to remove/replace it.

          NO they don't. Its a right so and so to do though. Make sure that you get the bolts up to torque otherwise you get an oil leak at the front of the motor.
