hi my left side has intermentent spark not weak at all just on and off the bike repair man around the corner told me that it could be the ignitor box or signal genorator any know how i could check these so i dont drop a hole in my pocket figuring this one out. thanks guys

Since only the left side is affected, I am going to guess that we are dealing with a two-cylinder bike.
Why am I having to guess? You did not mention what bike we are talking about.
