    rear rim compatibility

    does anybody know the rear rim size of a 1983 750e/es, hope its 2.50x17, could be a longshot, trying to get my 1100ez back on the road ,found 1 on ebay,thanks in advance,

    FWIW, the prior owner on my bike (gs650-gl) changed from a 16 inch rim to a 17 inch one with no ill effect (other than I accidentally bought the wrong tire when it was time for a new one) so if its a bit off, it probably doesn't matter that much

      i know its a 17" on the 83750 ime wonder about width and if it bolts on mainly, from the parts fitch they look the same cept the 83 750 is a monoshock configuration

        Yes, it is 2.5x17. 3x17 '85-'86 1150 wheel will interchange also. Same 6 spoke style wheel.

          1983 GS 1100E w/ 1230 kit, .340 lift Web Cams, Ape heavy duty valve springs, 83 1100 head with 1.5mm oversized SS intake valves, 1150 crank, Vance and Hines 1150 SuperHub, Star Racing high volume oil pump gears, 36mm carebs Dynojet stage 3 jet kit, Posplayr's SSPB, Progressive rear shocks and fork springs, Dyna 2000, Dynatek green coils and Vance & Hines 4-1 exhaust.
          1985 GS1150ES stock with 85 Red E bodywork.
