Progressive front springs
Anyone fitted these to their bike? I have the rear ones, but as per usual, I'll fill up the fronts with approx 10lbs of air and it leaks out after 2-3 days and then the bike saggs down and the front fender hits the tacho cable leaving a mark on my painted fender.

They are great. Get them! You need to make sure you set the preload correctly but there is instructions & pipe incl with the kit. They will raise it back up. I had the same problem.
You can also do it by cutting the OEM springs (less coils = higher spring rate) & fitting some thick plastic tubes in their to take up the extra space lost in the cut.
Up to you, I went with the progressives. If you cut them make sure you get them the same length & face the cut edge back flat with a file or grinder.

Do yourself a favor while you have the front end apart. Since you are not holding air, you know that something is leaking. Get new seals and get new bushings where the fork tubes slide on each other Get fork oil to put in. Progressive will recommend 15-w fork oil. I found that to be a little harsh for my style of riding and the condition of the roads around here. After riding for about an hour, my wrists would hurt from the constant jolting. Switched to 10-w fork oil, things are much better.
The bike will ride higher because the springs will not be sagging to their compressed limits. Your ride will be better because you will have plenty of travel left, and you will never again have to worry about having enough air in the forks, you won't need to add any, ever. \\/

Stripped them all down 3 years ago, new fork seals, and the air inline joint system added, which entails putting air in one fork and it is the same as in the other fork, in 3 years I maybe have done 700 miles tops, actually my RZ 350 does the same thing too!!

I used 15w oil in mine, I'm 165lbs. It worked ok for me. Think my spacers worked out about 42mm on the 1000G

Could you tell me where to locate the progressive springs, as it sounds like a good upgrade/winter project. Never have liked air forks!!

So if you use the progressive springs you don't need to use air? If that is the case I will order ASAP!

Exactly. Just stick in the right spacer to set preload for your weight. The instructions help with that & some of us can prob make recommendations.
