    clutch rattle at idle

    Hi.
    Could anyone help me.

I seem to have a knocking coming from my engine casing on the clutch side.It is only knocking at idle and goes when i rev.Could this be a clutch bearing or something else.

    Cheers Billygs.

    rattle

Loose clutch nut, loose springs (both clutch and dampner) or loose rivets. you need to have a look inside

Sharpy is right but do yourself a favor and make sure your carbs are in sync. Out of sync carbs will magnify clutch basket rattle.

        clutch probs

how do, the clutches are notorious for having rattle noises, balance the carbs, strip the clutch and see if the basket "fingers" are worn and dont have the tickover set to low. hope this helps
