    G-Spoke?

Anyone ever convert a G model to spoked wheels? Or perhaps know of a spoked shaft drive bike with a hub that could be machined to fit the GS's drive spline?

I have read about people using G model mags on the '85ish Suzuki Madura.
With the right spacers and such, it should be possible to mount the Madura spoked wheel on a GS-G model.
That is, if you can even find a Madura wheel. (it wasn't a real popular bike.)

Have you looked at BMW's? or Moto Guzzi's?

Hehe, G-Spoke sounds like a rapper name.
I would assume that a shafty is a bit trickier to do a wheel conversion on than a chain-driven bike? I would like to do spoked wheels someday, too, but maybe it's a larger project than I anticipated.

            JD -

I have a 77 GS750 and happened upon some spoke wheels on ebay from a 76 GS750. I'm not sure what bike you own, but all I had to do is swap my rotors and they bolted right on.

              Madura may be a match

Checked out the madura on bikebandit's microfiche. The driven spline in the wheel appears very similar. Couldnt tell for sure because bb uses some made up parts #s. May have to take a trip to the boneyard to confirm.

http://www.flatoutmotorcycles.com/fiche_select.asp doesn't use made up part numbers... the fiche's are the same as BB.

                They are cheaper too.

Sweet, I recearched the parts on flatoutmotorcycles. The part #s for the driven spline that sits in the hub are the same for the GS-G and the madura! Only obstacle is the drum brake on the madura. Were they ever availible w/ disk rears? Anybody wanna sell me a madura rear wheel?

You are correct, the gv700 madura had a drum brake, try to locate the gv1200 wheel with the disk brake. Good luck, i hated polishing the flat spokes of my gv700.
