    S or E?

I have a 1980 gs450. I don't know if it is an S or an E. Nor do I know the difference. Per the part diagram, they appear to be the same. Can someone enlighten me?

Well, at the moment, we don't have a clue, either.

But, if you would post some pictures, somebody will know for sure. 8-[

The S had a little headlight fairing, the E didn't.

Apparently it's an E. It's in rough shape cosmetically. I bought it for $100 off of Craigslist with aspirations of restoring it. It needs a title, headers, and some TLC. It might make a nice cafe bike fairly easily. It doesn't make sense financially, and I need another bike like I need another hole in the head, but I just love tinkering.
