    cheap good battery?

    i need one for a 79 gs850

No, I am convinced you can get either quality, but not both.

Splurge, get a sealed battery from Batteries Plus. $63 \\/

Or you can get a standard battery. $40 8-[

You might be able to find better prices at a battery supplier in your area, but personally, I would rather spend a few bucks for the pleasure of never having to check (or worry about) the electrolyte level again.

The $40 battery should last 3-4 years if taken care of. Most times charging problems boil the battey dry shortening it's life.

There's a chain out in NH called VIP Auto. Paid $36.00 for one for 1100G last spring.

If you need a battery sensor, J.C. Whithey, if not Wally-World.

if you mean a floating battery tender/charger with automatic off, harbor freight has one now for under 10 bucks.
