Dude, do they know you at the title office? I had only a little pain getting one done in Hamilton....you got to jump through a few hoops, but it wasnt bad at all.
The guy there explained it to me like this: we're looking for thieves. and people who re-sell wrecks improperly repaired.

Important: tell them " this is exactly how i found it" or else you have to come up with receipts on all the parts you put on it, receipts with the name and adress and phone of the PO as WELL AS THE VIN NUMBER OF THE DONOR BIKE" ... so just say i found it like this....

Easy??? You got to be kidding! Man I've never had such a sorry bunch of bureaucrats to work with, seriously, how did you pull that one off??!!

When I used to fool around with old Brit cars, they absolutely refused to even verify they did a title search after I paid them to do it, they obviously hadn't but they didn't care. Ohio is very hard to get a questionable title through, doing it in Hamilton is even worse! It's always been a who you know town when it comes to getting things through the uncles, aunts, cousins and such that work for the city/county. You must be one lucky fellow if your not in the crowd that runs the town, my hat is off to you.

I have a Rebel to be restored for the wife to ride that had been brought in from KY and titled "clean" in Ohio but then when I bought it and took my clean title in it got a salvage title as Ohio is now linked to several other states. This bike had been wrecked (I knew) and totaled (I didn't know), it is a 1986 with just peg, turn signal, mirror and a scratch on the stator cover damage. Point is, be sure to get a truly clean title.

They don't miss much if you try to be honest, Hamilton was known as Little Chicago for a reason. Some things never change...

yea man ohio sucks to get a title dont it lol
