    My guess would be that you've got a battery that is beginning to fade, but may go on for quite a while. I'd put it up on the Tender and see how things go. It wouldn't hurt to pull the starter, clean, replace brushes and springs and relube. All of them I've seen are sealed and accumulate carbon dust that will short them out. LOL and stay warm.

      I would say could be battery is marginal or starter is marginal. Now that battery has been on tender for awhile, try it again.

        I would check the grounds and clean the connections. Sounds like you're heating things up a bit with a bad connection.
