    Katana front wheel on gs700?

I have heard that a Katana front whell will bolt onto the stock '85 GS700E forks. Is this true? Will the stock brakes work?

A Katana front wheel will bolt straight in!!! Now why do you want to put a 19" wheel on a bike with a 16" on it now??

Didn't know it was a 19" wheel. Guess that tell me all I need to know, huh? Thanks for the info.

Could he be refering to a plastic Katana GS 600 or 750.

          Did those use 17's?
          GS\'s since 1982: 55OMZ, 550ES, 750ET, (2) 1100ET\'s, 1100S, 1150ES. Current ride is an 83 Katana. Wifes bike is an 84 GS 1150ES

            Yes, a GSX 600 F or GSX 750 F. and yes they are 17's.

Much easier to swap the whole front fork assembly. It is practically a bolt-on mod, the GSX brakes are better than the stock 700/750. The stock rotors would not bolt up to the GSX wheel anyway. The fork tubes are 4mm bigger too.

                G'day Carter!!
A sticker bike is a sticker bike. NOT a Katana!!! no GS motor= NO Katana.

                  Dink,

Yeah I agree, but couldn't remember the GSXF part so I used the first two letters.
