    small pit in cam lobe!!!

during my valve adjustment i notice a very small pinhead size pit in the bottom of the cam opposite the point. I have 0.08 clearance there and that's the part that doesnt touch the tappet. Is this anything I need to worry about or what!.

Since cams are cast, it's not uncommon to see pits. I've had 'em before on car camshafts, never caused any problems.

the pit is on the heel of the cam--- no problem!! run it hard forever
if the pit is on the nose of the cam--- measure it and take a picture. check it in 1000 miles. if the pit gets bigger than get the cam out of there.
SUZUKI , There is no substitute

Yse it's on the opposite side of the point on the lobe, where you would check the clearance.I think my buddy might have done it when he put the feeler gauge under there and it got stuck. The valve adjustment is over now so I will check it next time to see if it has gotten worse. I have 0.08 mm of clearance under that one too so it shouldnt even touch that part. Thanks for your help!
