    What Colour Wires???

    HI, ME AGAIN, CAN ANY ONE TELL ME WHAT COLOUR ARE THE WIRES FOR THE INDICATORS COMING OUT THE SWITCH AS I HAVE NO INDICATORS AND I NEED TO FIT SOME . CHEERS ( GS550 )

      Evidently he is 'across the pond' where they call turn signals 'indicators'. 8-[ (The U in colour is also a good hint.)

      On the 650 and 850, the left indicator is fed by a black wire, the right indicator is fed by a light green wire. Hope your 550 is the same.


      Oh, and would you mind please finding your CAPS LOCK key? Using all caps is taken on message boards as shouting. It can be used occasionally for emphasis, but not all the time, please.8-[

          The info from steve is correct for a uk spec gs550 :-D just checked my manual earth wire should be black with a white trace

          Dont worry about your spelling either as these colonials tent to corrupt the ENGLISH language sorry guys its all in fun but had to be said :-D

              someone told me you dont need indicators(turn signals) if the bike is under a certain year????

                Indicators are not needed for an mot in the uk if the bike was made before april 1986 :-D

                you can get away with it on later stuff too but that depends on the mot tester [-o<
