    exhaust pipe dia 81 1000g

A guy here at work just gave me a pair of new Harley mufflers. Looks like 1 3/4 id and 1 7/8 od. Does anyone know if these will fit into or over my stock exhaust after the cross over? My stock mufflers are fairly dinged up and the insides are rattling loud enough to hear at stop lights.

    Thanks,

I just measured the pipes on my wife's 850L. At the weld at the beginning of the mufler, it measures right between 1 3/4 and 1 7/8. Could be some crud on the back side of the pipe affecting the measurement, and the 1000 pipes might be just a touch larger, so I would think the 1 7/8 would fit.

At the weld my 1000g pipes are 41.5mm.
