    Aluminum Swingarm? 82 1100GL

    Hi everybody
I've got my GS down to a bare frame and am starting my winter project!

Can anyone tell me where I can get an aluminum swingarm which will fit 82 1100GL?

    Thank you very much!

Buddy, I believe you are out of luck. If your bike is an 1100GL, it is a shaft drive. As far as I know, the shaft drives don't have aluminum swing arms

On the other hand, with enough time and/or money, anything is possible. :-\"

            Thanks, friends!
I agree, it isn't worth it. It was a newb question, I just like the look of those aluminum ones. Thanks for answering!

If you like the look, why not paint your steel swingarm? There's some PJ1 and VHT engine paint that does a great job of aping bare metal.

Or better yet, have it powdercoated. They've got some amazing powdercoats these days that look exactly like bare metal.
