1982 GS1100G what does this sound like ?

This bike is about 100 miles from my home. Of course I am motivated by this .. but what does it sound like it needs to be fixed ?

I have contacted him for pics and further details ..

THIS BIKE JUST HAD ABOUT $1000 BUCKS WORTH OF WORK DONE
ON IT SUCH AS THE STATER, MAG, COIL,AND BATT.
THIS BIKE HAS ONLY 17000 ORGL. MILES ON IT AND RAN SWEET AS OF 3 MONS AGO.
HOW EVER IT HAS SAT WITHOUT BEING RAN. AND THE LAST BAD STORM WE HAD
IT GOT BLOWN OVER AND THE CLUCH SHIFTER CAME UP OUT OF THE TRANS(NOT ALL THE WAY)SHOULD BE AN EASY FIX.
DUE TO SCHOOL AND WORK I NO LONGER HAVE TIME FOR IT
IT ALSO HAS A CLEAN TITLE
BIKE JUST NEEDS A LITTLE TLC

    I'd buy it.
But, if the guy just dropped a grand into it, why is he only asking 500?

I paid $550 for my 550 4 years ago. I've since put about 600 bucks and a few years into it in my spare time.

It's not where it should be even today.

Thanks .. I wondered that too .. assumed he was discounting for the condition.

Anyone else have 2 cents on this ?

The clutch actuation mechanism is on the right side engine cover. Sounds like something snagged on the clutch cable or the actuator arm and bent it upward when the bike fell over. You shouldn't have too much trouble finding replacement parts on the used market. Easy repair assuming my guess is correct.

Thanks .. I emailed him (called too) asking for photos of the damage that he mentioned.

That is gonna be a big heavy cruiser ..
